What is PowerPlay?

PowerPlay is an elevated entertainment space located on the upper level of Southcentre Mall. We offer a multi-sensory experience for all ages, featuring state-of-the-art game zones, dine-in cinemas, and delicious food and drinks. We're excited to welcome you!

Where is PowerPlay Located?

PowerPlay is located at Southcentre Mall in Calgary. Please note that there is no internal access from the mall to PowerPlay. To enter, you can use our external east entrance, located near the upper parkade by Decathlon, or our south entrance, situated between Earls and Craft.

How can I book a session for any of the experiences?

We do accept walk-ins; however, we recommend booking online in advance to ensure your preferred time and experience is available.

Do you have a phone number?

We do not have a direct line to the site. For any queries please email elevate@powerplay.ca.

Can I bring my own food/drink?

We do not permit any outside food, drink, or alcoholic beverages at our venue or in our cinemas. We offer a variety of food and drink options for you to enjoy during your visit.

Accessibility

Is PowerPlay an accessible venue?

Yes, our facility is designed to be accessible for all guests, with features such as wheelchair ramps and accessible seating in our cinema and dining areas.

Do you have an accessible entrance to PowerPlay?

Yes, we have an elevator located at our external south entrance of Southcentre Mall between Earls and Craft.

What accessible seating is available in the Cinemas?

We offer seating options in all of our auditoriums for:

  • Individuals with a mobility or physical disability
  • Wheelchair accessibility
  • Assistants/companions of those who require accessible seating

When purchasing movie tickets, accessible seating and companion seating options will be marked.

Do you accept Access2 cards?

As an independent Cinema, we are currently working on enhancing our system to accept Access2 Cards. While we're not able to accept these cards just yet, we're committed to making this change soon to better serve all of our guests.

Movies

What can I expect from the dine-in cinema?

Our dine-in cinema offers a one-of-a-kind viewing experience, where guests can conveniently order food and drinks while enjoying the latest films. A specially curated menu will be available for ordering during screenings.

Does the advertised runtime on your website for each film include trailers?

No. The advertised runtime reflects the actual length of the feature film. We include up to 12 minutes of pre-show content, such as trailers, commercials, and in-house ads, right before the feature presentation. The pre-show content begins at the start of the advertised showtime.

How many cinemas do you have?

We have 10 micro dine-in theatres, with most seating up to 29 guests. Our smallest theatre can accommodate 15 guests.

How do I buy snacks and popcorn?

We offer a convenient Amazon Just Walk Out technology for concessions, allowing you to grab your snacks and drinks and simply walk out OR you can order from your server at your seat.

Do you offer refills?

Yes! We provide free popcorn and soda refills for large popcorn and soda purchases.

Dining

Do I need a reservation for dining at the POWERHOUSE RESTAURANT?

While reservations are not required, they are highly recommended, especially during busy times. You can make a reservation on our website or by calling us directly.

Is there vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options?

Yes, we offer a variety of menu options, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary needs, and we’ll be happy to accommodate.

What if I have food allergies?

We take food allergies seriously. If you have any food allergies, please notify your server or let us know when placing your order and we will be able to provide you with our allergen guide.

Special Events

Can I book PowerPlay for private events or parties?

Absolutely! PowerPlay offers packages for private events, birthday parties, and corporate gatherings. For more information and to make an enquiry, please visit our Parties and Events page.

Ticketing

General Terms and Conditions

  • Ticket Purchase: All sales are final. Review your order carefully before purchasing.
  • Arrival Time: Arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled experience. Late arrivals will join at the scheduled start time.
  • Refunds and Cancellations: Tickets are non-refundable. If you cancel, we can reschedule your experience or provide a gift card for the value of your ticket, redeemable for food, drinks, or experiences at our venue.
  • Rescheduling: To reschedule, contact us at least 48 hours in advance. Subject to availability.
  • Health and Safety: Guests must follow all health and safety guidelines. Failure to comply may result in removal without refund.
  • Liability Waiver: By purchasing, you accept any risks associated with the activities and release PowerPlay from liability.
  • Photography and Videography: We may take photos or videos for promotional use. By participating, you consent to the use of your image.
  • Code of Conduct: Respectful behavior is expected. Disruptive guests may be removed without refund.
  • Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to update these terms. Please review before attending.
